    Norihiro Odashima serves as a part-time lecturer at Tokyo City University, the Open University of Japan, and the College of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. As an earth science curator at the science museum, he is in charge of earth science education, focusing on regional geology and topography. His major editorial and translation works include “Kore dake wa shitte okitai ganseki kōbutsu zukan” (“My Book of Rocks and Minerals”) and “Kore dake wa shitte okitai kodomo zukan” (“An Encyclopedia of Very Important Things”) (both from PIE International) and “Monogatari no aru kōbutsu zukan” (“Mineral Encyclopedia Illustrated with Stories”) (Sansaibooks) 

    Yoko Uetake is a graduate of Tama Art University, School of Graphic Design. After working as a designer for a printing company, she became a freelance illustrator. She draws charming creatures while taking advantage of the texture of paper surfaces. The main books Uetake for which has done illustrations include the “Wake atte zetsumetsu shimashita” (“They Went Extinct for a Reason”) series (Diamond), “Yaba ka wa! Yuru sugo!! Marugoto same jiten” (“The Encyclopedia of Sharks”) (Poplar), and “Tsurete ko rareta dakenanoni” (“They Were Just Brought Here”) (Kaiseisha)
