    Illustrator: Karin Kano is from Ehime Prefecture, Japan. She is a graduate of Tokyo Zokei University who majored in sculpture. She vividly depicts animals and nature. She won the 6th Be Picture Book Award with “Ironna Omen” (“Many Masks”). Her picture books include the “Kanashiki Debunekochan” (“Sad Fat Cat”) series (Ehime Shimbunsha/Shueisha Bunko), the “Dorobo Neko” (“Cat Burglar”) series (Bungeisha), “Oyasumi Oyasumi Minna Oyasumi” (“Goodnight, Goodnight, Everyone Goodnight”) (Kinnohoshi) and “Manekko Nyankoromochi” (“Copycat Mochi”) (PHP).
