Author/Illustrator
Yuichi Yokoyama is a graduate of the Painting Department of Musashino Art University. Since 2000, he has broadened his activities to create manga that can “draw time,” using lines with a sense of speed and and onomatopoeia, the flow of time drawn seamlessly, and unique characters that have come to be called “neomanga,” which has attracted attention in Japan. Yokoyama’s major works include “Nyu doboku” (“New Engineering”), “Travel,” “NIWA,” “Baby Boom,” and “Sekai chizu noma” (“The Room of the World Map” all from East Press, “Outdoor” from Kodansha, “Room” from Harmonica Books, “PLAZA” from 888 Books. Many of his works have been published in France, the United States, Italy, Spain and elsewhere to great acclaim.
