【Artist Profile】
Yufushi is an illustrator and manga artist who paints elegant portraits of people and plants using watercolors and who has created numerous book covers and illustrations. Major illustration works include covers for the “Wagaya wa Gion no Ogamiyasan” (“Our House is a Shrine in Gion”) series by Mochizuki Mai (published by Kadokawa Bunko), “Oukakoku Koukyuu no Kusushi” (The Apothecary to the Harem of Oukakoku”) series by Shino Kaida (published by Fujimi L Bunko), and “Ayakiku Ayakashi Sanpō Jō” (“Colorful Chrysanthemum Ayakashi Arithmetic Book”) series by Aito Aoyagi (published by Jitsugyo no Nishonsha), and the belly band illustration for “Never Let Me Go” by Kazuo Ishiguro (Hayakawa Bunko). Manga works include “Sayonara Jitensha” (“Goodbye Bicycle”), by Sanagi Sakuragawa (published by Futabasha). Yufushi has also released the artbook “irodori” and the coloring books “Hana emi” (“Flower Smile”) and “Yume to kūsō no kafeteria” (“The Cafeteria of Dreams and Fantasies”). She has also created packaging for paints, brush pens, and sketchbooks released by art supply manufacturers. She holds exhibitions and watercolor workshops across Japan.
